Future Growth in Barrie
Planning for future growth in Barrie took a major step forward when Council adopted the Hewitt?s and Salem Secondary Plans on June 16, 2014.
The Secondary Plans map out future growth in the annexed lands to the tune of almost 41,000 new residents (15,800 residential units) and more than 10,000 jobs to the year 2031. The final date of appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board is July 17, 2014.
